We chat with Beth about her day-to-day life in the Kathryn Wilson Footwear Wellington boutique, her personal style, and tips on how to wear her favourite KW footwear

Tell us about your role at Kathryn Wilson Footwear

I work in the lovely Wellington store, I do a bit of everything! Sending out online orders, making sure the store is always looking her best and helping our customers pick out their perfect shoes.

In three words describe your personal style

Feminine, textural, shiny. 

Tell us about your favourite shoe and accessory this season and how you style it?

My favourite shoe is definitely the Amber loafer. As soon as I saw them in store I fell in love, bought them and haven’t taken them off since. I love the contrast between the masculine silhouette of the shoe with the dainty starry studs, they just go with everything and make any outfit feel more put together - I’ve become a loafer convert!

For accessories I love the Bradshaw bag. I have her in khaki and she’s just the most practical yet gorgeous bag. She’s big enough to fit everything but not too big as to where you have to really consider her when planning an outfit. I love that you can wear her in a very utilitarian way with the thicker strap or just use the gold chain in the evening - I need the hot pink one next.

What do you love to do outside of work?

I’m currently studying fashion design at Uni which takes up a lot of my time but is so rewarMy favourite thing ever is going to concerts, I just went to 5 of Lorde’s NZ shows, which I know sounds insane but they were so much fun and I met so many new friends. Whenever I’m just at home I love disconnecting from everything; watching tv shows, reading books and cooking.

Who or what inspires you?

Deep diving in old fashion shows and designers, browsing through vintage clothing and homewares - I love vintage glasswear, perfume bottles etc. I grew up surrounded by old video games, pinball machines, vinyls; anything “retro” really speaks to me, twisting that aesthetic into something modern and glamorous is so much fun.

Heels! 

If you could have dinner with any 3 people dead or living, who would it be?

Ethel Cain, Lisa Vanderpump and Taylor Swift. 
 

Tell us about your dream holiday/ travel destination and why.

New York, I’ve never been anywhere that feels more alive and I cannot wait to live there one day.
